ARTIST PROFILE

D. Sam Bryer started her professional art career promptly out of high school, illustrating several activity and coffee table books for a small publishing company in the Chicagoland suburbs. She studied traditional life drawing and design at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, and graduated with a BFA with highest honors from RIT in N.Y.

Sam runs her freelance art business from a lovely tree-top studio in the heart of Chicago, IL. She has been professionally drawing and designing for over 15 years and splits her career efforts between graphic art and classical portraiture. When she's not immersed in the creative process, Sam is out roaming the wild world seeking inspiration and rejuvination. Her recent client list has expanded to include Hewlett Packard, Verizon, Corningware, GATX Rail, Cremora-Borden, Fuji-film, Federal Judge Richard Linn Inn of Court, Mr. Carpet, Davis Street, and the Chicago History Museum.

Sam's recreational habits include taking apart her Honda Rebel, investigating oddities and expanding her vocabulary. She dabbles in performance, directing and costume design and will always make time for a tall tale over a tasty beverage.
